Today, we dive deeper into the useful functionalities of our DAM.
With the DAM (Digital Asset Management) module within SRC’s PIM software, it’s possible to maintain all your different assets (images, documents, etc). You can use the stored assets for different purposes, both internally and externally. For example, your webshop, website, your catalogs, to use in product sheets, and so on. Externally the asset is available through a URL when made publicly available. The asset will be available only in its original form.
In SRC-PIM you can not only view all assets in the DAM catalog but also in a specific DAM view. To access that view: select the camera icon in the top left of the screen.
In the DAM view you see the different subsets and per subset you can view all assets. For images a thumbnail is shown to easily find the image you are looking for.
For image assets, you can download the original file, or alternatively, you can download a custom format. You can download another file format and/or with other dimensions. To use that functionality click “Download” on the top of the screen and click “Custom”. Then choose the desired format and optionally enter a maximum width and/or height and click “Download”.
If needed, the downloaded alternate image can be uploaded in the DAM catalog as well to share with an external party.
